A versatile artist for a decade, Irene an artist specializes in acrylics, oils, pastels and water color painting. She started to pursue art in 2008 and has since sold many art pieces and conducted classes and workshops for novices, hobbyists and seasoned enthusiasts who want to hone their artistic skills.
Irene’s teachings and art have always based on her belief that “Art reconciles who I am by engaging who He is”; using are to allow ourselves space and time for transformation : integrating words and images to realise the deeper meaning of purpose and life.

Started painting this artwork on 30 July 2023 with the given word ‘Are you ready?’ It was a slow painting process partly because it is in oils but mainly the process provides became a dwelling space for the given word.
Most of us are not prepared for the things are happening in the world, how are we going to be ready for the future it is to come?
We are ready to be raptured for sure but our Creator is watching and waiting for us to co-reign with Him. I believed Singapore being called Singapura ‘Lion City’ is not a coincidence but a divine name mandated by Him. Are we ready reject the lawlessness of the world and to stand and walk in Singapore’s call in His Kingdom? It is not about fighting the principalities. It is about arising in your calling and walk out what God has already put in you!
Are you ready? I am Ready!

Isaiah 60 is an invitation to wake from sleep, to gather despite of difference, to pay homage to the one true Gift: God’s desire to know and be known by us.
We have entered into a new era where uncharted terrain like profanity and lawlessness are rampant. Wise guidance are rare when we are often overpowered by the narratives of calling evil good, and good evil.
This exhibition is a call for a collective longing to gaze upon Him where His glory and righteousness prevails in each and every child of God. Christ in us is the hope of glory.
Singapore though a small nation shall stand strong as long as our eyes are upon Him.
Arise, be strong and courageous!
I heard the Roar

‘I heard the Roar’ is inspired by a dream I had on 25.12.2018.
This is my 2nd painting based on this dream with the same title.
In the dream there were many clusters of Christians gathered according to their unique gifts God had given them. I was put in a group that had our gift related to ‘lion’. There were many people in this group. I could not physically see them but I could sense their presence. We were put together in a womb-like enclosure. A voice with an instruction/mandate spoke to each group. Every group had their turn to respond to His call. When it was time for the ‘lion’ group to respond, we gave out a singular loud lion roar. The sound of the ‘roar’ was steady and strong and it came not from the people but rather from within the womb enclosure itself (I could feel something within me vibrated as the roar sounded while in my dream). Some other groups could not hear the roar but some groups did. Certain groups who heard the roar celebrated but some were offended by the roar complaining that it was a loud and boastful display. The dream ended here.
I woke up with a roar within me…. and continued to hear the roar for the rest of the day until it subsided in the evening. I understood that God is birthing believers in Singapore to rise up with their gifts to walk the next lapse. Are you one of them?
Wear Your Crown

I was confronted by God one day to wear my crown while praying. He did not like my slave-like pleading prayers. Instead, He reminded we who I am in Christ, a joint-heir to His Kingdom. Every prayer is a command not a plea. It has already been completed in Him and we need to recognise ‘It is finished’ and agree and receive what He has already given us.
We are the children of God, chosen and called by Him.
I painted the Lion with a crown as a visual reminder of how He sees us when we look into the mirror.
Singapore a lion city ordained by God has yet to receive her crown. Let us stand in faith to declare in Yeshua’s authority that Singapore shall not be forsaken. She is a chosen city for such a time as this!

The four creatures are heavenly beings that minister before God’s throne.
They are symbolic beings that serves as the existence of God’s sovereignty and all aspects of existence.
They also represent the attributes of the Creator of the Universe :
- Dominion, Authority, Power (Lion)
- Great Vision, Swiftness, Tenacity, Fearlessness (Eagle)
- Humility, Diligence, Faithfulness, Strength (Ox)
- Intelligence, Wisdom, Grace, Reconciliation (Man)
They are full of eyes, both in front and behind, signifying their innate intelligence and connection to the all knowing Creator.
God’s omnipresence sees all and judges all individuals and nations. The world is going through sifting times. Let us continue to pray that our beloved nation Singapore shall stand high and not waver in Yahweh's promises.

There is a saying that Mothers teach who you are, Fathers teach who you wish to become. Mothers connect a child to the roots of who he/she is by nurturing and care to build a strong foundation whereas Fathers guide him/her to become who he/she wishes to be.
Yahweh plays the dual role in teaching us our identity in Him so we can manifest the dreams He has already prepared for us.
Lord, strengthen my inner being by the promises of your Word so that I may live faithful and unashamed for you. Lift me up and I will be safe. Empower me to live every moment in the light of your ways. (Psalm 119: 116-117 TPT)
May our nation Singapore become rooted in Yahweh’s divine foundation and walk out her pre-destined destiny and her call.

Ezekiel is shown a stream of water flowing from the Temple, growing deeper as it expands outward. The man with Ezekiel measures the increasing depth of the river, reaching to his ankles, knees, waist and to a level too deep he has to swim. This illustrates the gradual growth of physical and spiritual transformation where depth and obstacles can be God's blessings. The river brings life wherever it flows.
Singapore being a island city surrounded with deep waters is a nation marked by God for a end-time call. Are we able to stand or sink? If God is our only source.

Though we do not know the day or hour, but Yahweh wants us to be aware of the signs and seasons of times of His coming. We are at the beginning of such dark times where uncertainties abound. Therefore we must be ready, because the Son of Man will come at an hour when we do not expect of Him.
Prepare and align ourselves in God’s righteousness and constantly stand firm in His Truths. May our nation Singapore stand strong in the midst of pressures and adversaries, sifted and brave all to become a proudly elected nation.
